Libertarians: Advocates For Economic Freedom or For Economic Greed?
Libertarians have come to the spotlight when Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson got on the ballot and won about 11 to 13 % of the vote in the presidential elections in 2016. Many people both Democrats and Republicans have gotten disillusioned with their respective parties and feel that the Libertarian Party better fits their views on economic and social issues.
Here is a summary of what the Libertarian Party is about; It was founded in 1971 during the Nixon Administration's handling of the Vietnam War, the Draft and the end of the Gold Standard. the Libertarians view of the world is non-interventionist meaning that they want to have complete and total freedom to do what they want when they want and they are strong advocates of laissez-faire capitalism, the promotion of civil liberties and the abolishment of state welfare and the right to bear and carry arms.
Here is my issue with the Libertarian Party and Libertarians, they have a few things that are alright but they go way too far in many areas, for example they believe laissez-faire which means that people want complete control of how they do economic decisions and make decisions based on what they want, the problem with that is it creates more poverty and inequality because Libertarians believe that you have to take care of yourself and pay your own way if you don't too bad your own and nobody helps you and they don't believe in taxation for social programs or services, then how would roads get fixed, who would pay the police or the fire department or the post office?
Libertarians believe that the welfare state should be abolished its not their problem for the social safety net, not everyone will be able to work because of disability or when they get closer to retirement age meaning if for whatever reason people the workers didn't put enough away or they get sick and couldn't continue working due to health issues they are screwed and on their own because they wouldn't have access to services that they need to survive and make their lives a little bit easier. Same with with single parents with children if the parent mother or father has to work two or three jobs to make ends meet it still won't be enough to cover their basic necessities and people that don't have enough money for food won't have any type of assistance for food because these services won't exist.
They also believe that they can do whatever they want with production and pay the workers whatever they want and if they feel like it they can fire and replace their workers with people from third countries to save money and increase their profits and they are against a living wage, providing benefits or holiday and sick days for their workers claiming that its too much money and it will be too costly to do, its a very selfish way of thinking that their bank accounts and themselves are more important then the workers that keep them in business and make them money that's not how you create an economy or keep it going.
Lastly Libertarians are corporate fascists that pander to the business elite and bringing the state and corporation together and they are strongly anti-communist and anti-democracy and they are only for their own agendas and promoting selfishness and greed on behalf of its members believing that if you can't make it too bad its your own fault and your a failure in society and its nobody's fault but your own. Its no different than Charles Darwin's theory of "Survival of The Fittest" Only the Strong Survive and the Weak Perish its not a real or good solution to the two party system its actually a more dangerous party because it promotes, corporatism, nepotism and nihilism.
