Syria: Syrian Crisis

Syrian Showdown

Tensions are at all time high with the ongoing civil war in Syria, which has been raging since 2011. President Bashar al-Asaad has been refusing to step down from U.S. and UN demands to stop committing acts of genocide against his own people, President Donald Trump has warned on a preeminent strike against Syria and has given a warning to Russia that they too might face U.S. wrath.

There is a critical danger of the futility of Donald Trump's lack of experience and commonsense on geopolitical issues and the consequences from a military strike against Syria. For one thing, Syria isn't Iraq, Syria has the backing of Russia and China, two Superpowers that can be a show of force to the Unites States.

Bashar al-Assad is not a good guy in any way shape or form but again the United States messes up with their foreign policy, whatever Asaad is doing is a internal problem within Syria he is not threatening his neighbors or the world and Syria doesn't have WMDs as bad as he is he is part of the checks and balances in the region. By removing him from power creates a power vacuum and more instability in a already unstable region of the world that most of the wars are caused by religion and geopolitical factions, certain autocrats keeps stability and certain groups in check.

The United States cannot afford another war that will defiantly cost millions of lives to be lost and bring the world to bring of WW3. We need to resolve the Syrian Crisis through diplomacy and through more sanctions and more pressure. The only people that will be affected will be the Syrian people whom has no fault in what Assad is doing.

The Syrian people are the only ones that have the power and the right to decide what to do with Assad NOT the United States, Russia or China. When others meddle in the internal affairs of the Arabs the end result is being stung repeatedly like bees sting a bear when the bear tries to eat the honey from the beehive.

China Lawmakers Abolish Term Limits

Jinping: President for Life

Chinese Parliament recently passed a bill removing term limits on President Xi Jinping allowing him to rule indefinitely. It was a surprised to many because China has played around with Presidents for Life and it has brought consequences in many ways.

Chairman Mao Zetung ruled China from 1949 to 1975 and it wasn't until Mao's death is when China was finally able to make economic reforms and open the country to foreign investment and create economic growth.

China has had different presidents chosen by the Chinese Communist Party to the lead the country and they had term limits to put checks and balances on power so all the power doesn't vest in one person.

By China making this sudden change can have dire consequences for the country and for its citizens. Xi is not like Mao in the way that he brought famine and millions of people dying of starvation and I believe he is a more pragmatic leader than Mao but he wants to go down in history as the man that brought the "Chinese Dream" a term that has been associated with Xi on creating China into a rich and prosperous society within the socialist realm.

The Chinese people see themselves as a world power and as a rich and powerful country that has influence on a global scale and they want to exercise that influence around the world even if it means not having real democracy or having limits on absolute power. In many ways it will hurt China's image as a civilized country and as the world's largest economy.

California's Economy Grows Despite Trump's Opposition for Reform

California rivals U.K. as 5th largest economy in the world.

President Trump has been giving press conferences on how jobs are going out of the country and how deregulating would be better for the economy, If that was the case jobs would stay in the country and not close shop and move overseas. California is the largest economy of the United States and the only reason why America has had real GDP growth since the 2008 recession and much of its comes from California's Laws that promotes clean energy, government accountability and protection for undocumented people.

Gov. Jerry Brown has said that California's success compared to other states is immigration and the influx of skilled labor from countries and the open and tolerate atmosphere which brings immigrants to the state and contributing to the growth of the economy.

California's borrowing costs is 0.15 lower than the national average for states and has declined just to 0.24 percent points more than the U.S. pays on its debt down from 1.97 percent points since 2013

No other state has laws that discourage fossil fuels and carbon and promotes the use of clean energy than California. The excellent energy policies and voter preferences is paying off in a big way.

California is leading the way of creating electric cars by the year 2025. Companies and State Representatives want to make at least half of all the cars in the state to be electric in order to bring down fuel emissions and 100s of the fortune 500 companies are all operating in the state to bring about this green revolution.

The United States can learn from California especially on how regulation and creating government accountability and being an open society can help fix the ailing the economy of the rest of the country. When there is no regulation and government accountability corporations and companies pretty can get away with anything and the ones paying the bill is the American Taxpayer.

Jehovah's Witnesses vs Evangelical Christians

Jehovah's Witnesses vs Evangelical Christians; Two Types of Christian Extremism

When people think of Christian Fundamentalism people think mostly of the Christian Right, The Westboro Baptists Church, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson but most don't look at what Jehovah's Witnesses and Evangelical Christians have in common even though they are both extremist in their own ways.

Jehovah's Witnesses were a religion that was created in the late 1880s by Charles Taze Russell who was a Presbyterian by birth and later Congregationalist before deciding to form his own movement by preaching to people that the modern Church had become corrupt and apostate and he was anointed by God to bring the true worship of God to the people through the study of the Bible.

Jehovah's Witnesses are known worldwide by their extensive missionary work and preaching and knocking on people's doors to deliver the good news and to baptize people into the kingdom of God and to try to bring the people the message of Jehovah before Jehovah's day of wrath known as Armageddon.

Jehovah's Witnesses Headquarters is called Bethel based in New York and they answer to the leaders known as the "Governing Body" these men composed a board of 12 people make the doctrine and the rules on how Jehovah's Witnesses are to study, worship and enforce church doctrine.

There is no freedom of belief or freedom of thought or choice and the moment people question or don't agree with the regulations of the organization, one is excommunicated and are shunned by the congregation, friends and even family. There is no democracy and no say, you have to follow what they tell you to do, there is no free or critical thinking.

Evangelical Christians have become more far right to the point that they want to influence others through government and by electing leaders that hold extremist or fanatical views of the Bible. Evangelical Christians believe that their religion is under attack by Secularism and the growing number of Agnostic and Atheist people in the country so many Christian Evangelicals have formed coalitions and organizations to try to enforce laws being made to force their view on Biblical Law on others and wanting to bring God and Prayer back to national life.

What Jehovah's Witnesses and Evangelical Christians have in common is they are both conservative and don't believe that people have the freedom to do what they want or have freedom to question what they are being fed.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Mainstream Christianity is corrupted and apostate and is part of the Whore of Babylon together with the Roman Catholic and that Jesus Christ isn't God and that there is no such thing as the doctrine of the Trinity, their denial of the concept of Hell and Heaven and they believe that they are the only true religion and whomever doesn't become a Jehovah's Witness is condemned to death by the wrath of God in Armageddon.

Evangelical Christians teach that there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ and without Jesus there is no salvation and the unbeliever is sent to hell for eternity and that Christians have a special right to rule over Non-Christians because they are righteous and Non-Believers are evil and condemned for refusing to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Both sides hate and despise each other and both claim are the true representation of Christianity and both want to have dominion and control over their followers and both are unbinding and uncompromising and both are dangerous in their own way. One is a doomsday cult that wants to massively convert whole the world before the world ends and the latter wants to impose their beliefs and their own interpretation of the Bible on others through government means and union between Church and State.

Marijuana is Legal in California, Nationwide is Next

Pot Legal in California, What does it mean for the rest of the country?

California became the first state in 2018 to legalize recreational marijuana use in the state and the whole state celebrated by getting high the night before and the morning afterwards, everywhere pot shops are packed with stoners from different backgrounds and from all social and economic classes.

California decided to legalize marijuana for various reasons, 1# to bring in much needed revenue to the state and to decrease the debt and increase the budget, 2# by decriminalizing the drug it takes pretty much the source of income for the criminal gangs and the destroys their network and control over the drug trade, 3# Decriminalization reduces non-violent people from being sent to prison for long prison terms and lowers the incarceration rates by more than 50% and people's lives aren't ruined by having criminal records because of drug charges.

The downside I see with the legalization of Marijuana is the higher rate of people getting stoned on the job and at school and the children being introduced to doing Marijuana at much younger ages and I see Marijuana as a gateway drug to more hardcore drugs like Cocaine and Heroin which are much more deadlier than Marijuana I have seen people already smoking weed on the job and they aren't afraid of repercussions.

I feel ashamed and angry that my state made Marijuana legal and it brings the morality of the country down more everything but I realize no matter what you try to ban people will always find ways to consume something that is forbidden, i;e Alcohol during the Probation, you can't really forbid people for destroying their own lives if they choose to, you cannot control people's actions all you can do is regulate a controlled substance and tax it so the government has control over it instead of the criminal underworld whom were terrorizing entire communities for decades with their guns, drugs and violence, why should the Mafia and the Gangs get rich?
